THE PRINCE WHO PRINTS
The Prince Who Prints: A Story of Addiction Told Through a 9-5 Day Job
I have an office mate named Joey. We spend 40 hours a week sitting back-to-back. One of the tasks I have assigned to him is printing the paperwork for the day, every day. In a moment of irrational anger, I began to get annoyed at the sound of the constant printing so I started to build a narrative that would place sole responsibility on him as a result of his unsolicited love for printing. As with most tales of misplaced accountability, the arc starts to reveal that really this is just a story about me and the terminality of my character defects.
